Message	Surface rust is normal, Especially near welds.....14 gauge aluminized pipe is quite thick and it would take a long time for the surface rust to become a problem and compromize the pipe. Also some cheap exhaust are made from mild steel and they will rust quickly. Something to keep in mind when buying an aluminized system is the thickness of the material used. Never buy mild steel or aluminized steel mufflers as they are extremely thin and will not last. Stainless is nicer looking and is lighter because thinner material can be used, But good 14 gauge aluminized pipe will last ;)
